Job Description


  • Must be able to efficiently perform the following tasks: perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivery systems, perform simple wound irrigations/direct pressure/dressing, prepare sterile field to prepare sterile field for suturing, assist Provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomy.


  • Assists in conducting observations, collecting data, and identifying patient care needs.


  • Assists in the transportation and transfer of patients.


  • Answer phones, file, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider orders, enter electronic data, and assist with documentation.


  • Assists with cleaning, storage and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.


  • Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies.


  • Uses resources appropriately and follows center guidelines, policies and procedures.

Requirements


  • Great oral communication skills.

  • Ability to deal with conflictive and difficult people.

  • Great critical thinking skills.

  • Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their rules and processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
