Job Description

  • Handles and prepares food in accordance with food safety standards.

  • Plan the cooking and baking schedule to ensure that food is ready at the specified times but not too far in advance.

  • Uses and adjusts standardized recipes and adheres to therapeutic diet guidelines and consistency.

  • Acts as manager in the kitchen in the absence of a supervisor.

  • Participates in department communication and teamwork.

  • Prepares adequate quantities of food and ensures good quality of the final product.

  • Maintains cleaning and disinfection standards.


  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to work independenly.

  • Good time management.

  • Basic computer skills are preferred, but training will be provided.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude with others.

  • Ability to read and adjust recipes.
