Job Description

The Construction Worker position will assist carpenters, foremen, and superintendents with a variety of construction-related tasks, from installing drainage systems to completing finishing projects. Workers are expected to be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis and work at heights of up to forty feet above the ground.

Functions and responsibilities

  • Installation of drainage pipes.

  • Reinforcement placement, pouring and finishing of foundations, walls and concrete slabs.

  • Assembly of prefabricated slabs.

  • Assembly of structural steel columns, beams, reinforcement straps, platforms and various steel assemblies.

  • Structural steel framing.

  • Rough carpentry, including walls, floors and ceilings.

  • Finish carpentry, including the installation of wood moldings, baseboards, door frames and other wood finishes.

  • Cabinet work, including installation of base cabinets, upper cabinets, tall storage cabinets, PLAM and solid surface countertops, reception desks and nursing stations.

  • Foundation waterproofing.

  • Building insulation, including blanket insulation and blown insulation.

  • Installation of asphalt shingles.

  • Metal wall, roof and eave panels and all associated trim.

  • Residential siding, moldings and eaves.

  • Commercial and residential entry doors, frames and hardware.

  • Installation of hollow metal and wooden windows.

  • Light steel framing, including walls, floors, eaves and roofs.

  • Placing drywall.

  • Installation of FRP and various moldings.

  • Installation of various specialties, including display boards, toilet compartments, blinds, cubicle curtains and tracks, wall and door guards, interior and exterior building signs, lockers, fire extinguishers, fire extinguisher cabinets, flag poles and accessories Toilet.

  • Installation of projection screens.

  • Installation of blinds and curtains.

  • Assembly of pre-engineered metal buildings


  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Ability to work at heights up to forty feet above the ground.

  • Experience operating a variety of construction tools and equipment, including concrete saws, chop saws, jigsaws, reciprocating saws, drills, rotary hammers, table saws, miter saws, soil compactors, air hammers, air nailers, planers , mini loaders, scissor lifts, boom lifts and telehandlers.
