Job Description

The Construction Laborer position will assist carpenters, foremen and superintendents in a variety of construction-related tasks, from installing drainage systems to completing finishing projects.Workers are expected to be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis and work at heights up to forty feet above the ground.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Installation of drainage piping.
-Placing reinforcement, pouring and finishing of concrete foundations, walls and slabs.
-Erection of precast slabs.
-Erection of structural steel columns, beams, reinforcing purlins, platforms and miscellaneous steel assemblies.
-Structural steel framing.
-Gross carpentry, including walls, floors and ceilings.
-Finishing carpentry, including installation of wood trim, baseboards, door frames and other wood finishes.
-Cabinet work, including installation of base cabinets, upper cabinets, tall storage cabinets, PLAM and solid surface countertops, reception desks and nurses' stations.
-Foundation waterproofing.
-Building insulation, including blanket insulation and blown-in insulation.
-Installation of asphalt shingles.
-Metal wall, roof and eave panels and all associated trim.
-Residential siding, trim and eaves.
-Commercial and residential doors, frames and hardware.
-Installation of hollow metal and wood windows.
-Light steel framing, including walls, floors, eaves and ceilings.
-Drywall installationaccessories.
-Installation of projection screens.
-Installation of blinds and curtains.
-Erection of pre-engineered metal buildings.


-Be a Puerto Rican citizen.
-Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
-Ability to work at heights up to forty feet above the ground.
-Experience operating a variety of construction tools and equipment, including concrete saws, chop saws, jig saws, reciprocating saws, drills, rotary hammers, table saws, miter saws, soil compactors, air hammers, pneumatic nailers, brushes, mini loaders, scissor lifts, arm lifts and telehandlers.
