Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze current feed mill processes and identify opportunities for improvement, focusing on efficiency, safety and product quality.
Develop and implement engineering solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs, using industrial engineering principles.
Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and team performance evaluations to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize the utilization of equipment, labor and materials.
Assist in the design, installation and testing of new processes or equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Monitor production indicators and analyze data to ensure operational objectives are consistently met.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives applying Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
Provide training and support to staff on new procedures and best practices.
Ensure compliance with HACCP policies, safety protocols and other regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
Apply industrial engineering principles to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of feed mill operations.
Conduct workflow analysis and equipment performance studies to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
Collaborate with production and sales teams to ensure smooth coordination in food delivery and loading.
Implement process changes to improve inventory management, reduce waste and ensure accurate stock levels.
Use engineering tools to prepare reports, cost estimates, and production forecasts.
Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Review and update standard operating procedures to reflect process improvements and maintain high quality standards in production.
Evaluate machinery performance and recommend maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
Assist in project management related to operational changes, including creating schedules, allocating resources, and monitoring performance.
Requirements
University degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in manufacturing environments or food mill operations.
Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Competence in data analysis and in the use of engineering tools for process optimization (e.g. AutoCAD, ERP systems).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with HACCP, safety standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
TN Qualifications
Mexican nationality
University degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in manufacturing environments or food mill operations.
