Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will perform various functions and will work mainly in the workshop, but when necessary will travel to repair equipment on construction sites. This is a sensitive position from a security point of view, so all necessary security elements must be used at all times.


Functions and responsibilities


  • Perform repair functions for automotive electrical problems in diesel and gasoline engines.


  • Coordinate with the Shop Manager to maintain an accurate record of all maintenance performed.


  • Work in teams in the machine shop and in the field as necessary.


  • Fill out work orders accurately and document all activities performed.


  • Spend time at the beginning of each project understanding the scope of the work.


  • Spend time daily understanding the work and objectives of the day.


  • Complete any investigation necessary to ensure that mechanical work is completed accurately and that the equipment operates safely upon completion.


  • Keep the work area clean and organized.


  • Other assigned tasks.


Schedule


40 hours and overtime is paid if required.

Requirements


  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of semi-trailers and trailers.

  • Knowledge of semi-trailer undercarriage, braking systems and hydraulic repairs.

  • Previous mechanical work experience, but also be willing to train on additional machinery and equipment not previously worked on.

  • CDL driver's license preferred but not required.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent physical shape and strength.

TN Qualifications


  • Similar technical or professional degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Current professional license.

  • Valid passport.
