Job Description

1. Meets the basic quality of life needs of patients of all ages. 2.
2. Responds to call lights
3. Serves meals, feeding patients
4. Vital signs (BP, T, P, P, R, and SaO2) weight measurements, and accuchecks.
5. Make beds, keep rooms clean 6.
6. Ambulate, turn and position patients; provide fresh water and food between meals.
7. Complementary care by ice/heat treatments, non-sterile dressings, therapeutic baths.
8. Grooming, measuring and documentation of I/O.
9. Knowledge of isolation techniques
10. Reporting patient observations to the attending or charge nurse.
11. Documentation of care provided.
12. Safe handling of the patient (for self and patient).
13. Emergency rounding
14. Strong work ethic and work capacity
15. Fulfillment of regulatory and mandatory educational tasks.
16. Administrative duties:
(a) Answering/transferring calls using appropriate telephone protocol.
b) Print/FAX medical records.
c) Billing patients
d) Assembling patient charts/folders.
17. ER Quality Controls
a) Clean ER/AC refrigerators weekly
b) Clean stretchers and commodes ER daily/WC weekly

Requirements

-Be a Puerto Rican citizen.
-Reliable assistance
-Customer service skills
-Ability to use computer graphics
-Capacity for teamwork
-Ability to handle the equipment necessary to evaluate the patient
